It’s been a while since I’ve posted about singer, Rihanna, so I thought I’d post what I’ve found recently. Last night, Rihanna was spotted hanging out in NYC last night with friends. She and her friends who included actor/singer Drake, headed to the Griffin before midnight.

While in the club, a happy-looking Rihanna, 21, appeared to be enjoying herself, holding court in a banquette to the left of the stage, where will.i.am DJ-ed the party – and gave an affectionate shout-out to Rihanna when she entered the club. Besides mingling with fellow guest Wilmer Valderrama, Rihanna also walked hand-in-hand up to the DJ booth with Fergie.

After about two hours in the club, Drake left alone only to wait outside the doors. Rihanna came out a bit later and the two both left in separate cars.

In other Rihanna news, she has been officially subpoenaed to testify in the case against Chris Brown.

Brown, 20, has pleaded not guilty to two felony counts following his alleged Feb. 8 assault on Rihanna.

“Rihanna was served at my office by L.A. DA investigators,” Etra says. “If the preliminary hearing indeed goes forward, she is now legally required to be there, she will be there, and will answer all questions truthfully.”

The purpose of the hearing is to determine if there’s enough evidence to bind Brown over to trial. Rihanna will also be subject to cross-examination by Brown’s attorney Mark Geragos. The case could end any time with a plea deal, making the hearing unnecessary.

But right now it seems Rihanna isn’t thinking about the case, instead is living her life, in NYC.
