50′s pinup, and my personal hero, Bettie Page, was rushed to the hospital due to a heart attack!! NO NOT BETTIE!!!!
“She’s critically ill,” Mark Roesler of the Curtis Management Group told The Associated Press.
He said the 85-year-old had the heart attack Tuesday and was hospitalized Friday in the Los Angeles area.
A family friend, Todd Mueller, said Page was in a coma. When asked to confirm, Roesler said, “I would not deny that,” but he would not comment further on her condition.
There are a few things that Bettie Page and I have in common, dark brown hair, modeling (though mine was not as long as hers), and BIOLA University doesn’t like to claim either one of us.
And on a much more personal note, knowing Bettie didn’t feel ashamed of her naked photos even after going to BIOLA, and becoming a Christian, made my years at BIOLA much easier to get through. I love you Bettie, you are my hero.
Get better Bettie.
