YAY!!! It’s a penguin theme this month. While researching another endangered penguin, it seems that after 500 years of thinking it was extinct, researchers found evidence of an “extinct” species of penguin in the wild!!!!
The team was testing DNA from the bones of prehistoric modern yellow-eyed penguins for genetic changes associated with human settlement when it found some bones that were older — and had different DNA.
How exciting… penguin FEVER!!!!
