Man, what a bummer. Bloom County, Outland, and Opus creator, Berkeley Breathed announced that he will be retiring from cartooning. His last OPUS strip will be November 2, 2008.
I grew up with Opus. Him, and Milo, and Binkley, and Bill, Portnoy and Steve Dallas… and…. milktoast.
There is a way for fans like me to be involved
This Sunday’s strip will include a contest in which Breathed asks readers to guess the penguin’s fate. Details on how to participate are not being released ahead of time.
