When I first saw a trailer for W. (the new film from Oliver Stone out October 17) I thought it was supposed to be a comedy. But the more trailers I watched it, I still it thought it was a comedy, but wondered if this is really an appropriate way to view an in office president (even if you don’t like him, trust).
I mean, this IS Oliver Stone… who took more than a few liberties with his past movies, including the Doors. (it’s not smart to change events for your movie, that can easily be watched on tape: The Ed Sullivan Show. SEE BELOW) It’s no doubt that Oliver will take some liberty with real events, in order to fit his own world view.
So what do you think? Is it free speech? Or is it just plain rude?
