Growing up, Lynda Carter was THE person to be. I LOVED Wonder Woman… I was preschool age… I’d do the Wonder Woman spin in my living room thinking I was going to magically have a new fantastic wardrobe and those bracelets that repelled bullets. I would be the HBIC. Instead I just got dizzy.
Lynda Carter is now going public about being a recovering alcoholic. She’s been sober for 10 years now.
She claims she was “Brilliant” at hiding her addiction… but that her husband attorney Robert Altman, begged her to quit for their children, Jamie, 20, and Jessica, 17.
“My husband asked me … ‘Can’t you just stop this for the children and for me?’ ”
His plea prompted her to seek treatment at a rehab facility near her home in Washington, D.C. “I needed help – I begged God in heaven to help me figure this out,” says Carter, now sober for nearly ten years.
Lynda claims that this recovery has taught her “how we treat the people who love us, and the people that we love.”
“There’s something odd when you’re 35 or 40 and ironed to the max. You change with time, and its fine. Everywhere there are these stand-up cards saying, `Have a little silicone while you get your roots done.’ I want to be the opposite of that.”
Ummm, this one MIGHT be true. You never know with these celebutaunts. Especially Ms. Nicole Richie.
Rumor has it that she MAY be pregnant with her second child with Good Charlotte member Joel Madden. And her boho style of loose clothing isn’t helping the rumor mill! A friend of hers said
“Nicole is dying to have a sibling for Harlow who is close in age. She doesn’t want them to be more than two years apart, so that they can be best friends forever.”
Best friends forever? I think I know only 2 people who are siblings and still friends. But, if that’s her goal, then we’ll be here to watch.
