She tells police her son used a 3-pound package in attack
DELAND, Fla. - Police say a 46-year-old man hit his mother in the head with a three-pound package of Polish sausage on Saturday night. Police said that when they arrived at the home, the man was in the kitchen cooking and on the telephone.
The man’s mother told officers that he had been drinking and arguing with her. She said he picked up the pack of sausage and threw it at her, grazing the back of her head.
Police say the man confirmed his mother’s story and was charged with battery. Jail records show the man was being held on a $500 bond.
