That’s right !!! Amy Winehouse made it to the 90th Birthday Concert Celebration for Nelson Mandela!!!!!!!!!!! YAY!!! She was spray tanned, and was looking “healthy”! I didn’t hear that she was awful, so that’s a good sign. haha.

Amy performed Rehab, and Valerie to the crowd who was there to celebrate Nelson Mandela.

I am so happy that she made it, and didn’t fall on her face. FANTASTIC!!!

It’s underway!! The big 90th Birthday Concert for Nelson Mandela!!! And while it still remains to be seen if Amy Winehouse shows, there are those who DID show up. Leona Lewis looking super duper. Yes, SUPER DUPER. You heard me. Though a little 80s.

Also there, Will Smith and Jada Pinket warming up the crowd. I am SOOOO happy she changed her hair.

And Annie Lennox, with Spice Girl Gerri Halliwell were there when birthday boy took the stage.

There are few celebrities that I can take seriously. But there’s something about Ben Affleck that gets to me. He was on Nightline last night reporting about his trip to the Congo. Did you watch?

I LOVE that he admitted he is not doing work with any organization, and that he doesn’t have a clue. He’s there to learn from the people working there. AND HE PAID HIS OWN WAY!

It makes sense to be skeptical about celebrity activism. There is always the suspicion that involvement with a cause may be doing more good for the spokesman than he or she is doing for the cause.

I welcome any questions about me and my involvement, but I hope you can separate whatever reservations you may have from what is unimpeachably important about this segment: the plight of eastern Congo.

He speaks about the lack of hospitals, the large scale sexual assaults, and the courageous aspect of people who care.

It seems that the cigarette smell has overtaken Katherine Heigl’s newly remodeled home, so she needs to find a new one. And she took her favorite person along! No, not her husband musician Josh Kelly, she brought along fellow Gray’s Anatomy actor T. R. Knight. Or was HE the one looking for a new home…hmmmmmm.

Does she do things without him? He’s like her boyfriend, but without the romance. It’s kind of cute. Good to know you’ve got a friend you can do things with. And make out with at work. And not have to worry about your partner’s getting jealous.

So, I guess Mary Kate Olsen is taking this whole acting thing serious. She is out promoting a new film, The Wackness, and made her way to Late Night With David Letterman last night.

Somehow the conversation got turned to Spencer Pratt, from the Hills. It seems that MK and Spencer went to high school together. Who knew? After Letterman asked MK if Spencer was wormy and she agreed, she had this to say

“He does not have a good temper,” added Olsen, who was promoting her new indie The Wackness. “He walked out of a few [soccer] games. He would walk off the field. He was like, ‘Me or the coach!’”

Asked if they were friends at the time, Olsen said, “No.”

I don’t know which is more surprising. MK went to a real school, Spencer played soccer, or that she remembered who he was.
