It seems so archaic that someone would have to make a stand on the topic of violence against women, but it is still necessary. Nicole Kidman, who is 7 months pregnant with husband Keith Urban’s baby, made a statement as the UN Ambassador for women on Tuesday.
“One in three women will encounter violence in some way, shape or form against them in their lifetime.”
Kidman urged people to demand “that ending violence against women be made a top priority for governments everywhere.”

My favorite trainwreck, Amy Winehouse, is opening up a little bit about writing music. She’s up for three Ivor Novello Awards for writing in music, twice in the same category.
“Winning Ivors for my songwriting have been some of the best moments in my music career,” says Winehouse, 24. “I’m overwhelmed to be nominated three times, let alone twice in the same category. It’s come at a great time too. I’m excited to be back at work in the studio, enjoying songwriting and making music again.”
At least she can start to focus on something other than her half assed rehab, and her “Blake Incarcerated”. Focus on what you’re good at girlfriend!
