Even with the writers’ strike continuing on…. FOREVER!! John Stewart and Stephen Colbert will be returning to the studios on January 7th, 2008! Jay Leno, Conan O’Brien and Jimmy Kimmel have already said that they will return to filming on Jan. 2 regardless of the standings in the writers’ strike.
YIPPIE!!!
In a joint statement, Stewart and Colbert said: “We would like to return to work with our writers. If we cannot, we would like to express our ambivalence, but without our writers we are unable to express something as nuanced as ambivalence.”
Leave it to those two to put a fine point on it. I can’t wait.
