A justice of the peace has ruled that Simpson and two co-defendants must face trial on kidnapping, armed robbery and other charges.

The charges stem from the alleged robbery of sports memorabilia dealers at a Las Vegas hotel on September 13th. None of the charges in a 12-count complaint against the three men was dropped.

If convicted of kidnapping, Simpson could face up to a life sentence. An armed robbery conviction would mandate some time in prison.

Simpson has claimed that he was attempting to recover items stolen from him.

We just told you all about the fantasy movie Katie Holmes will be making with Giovanni Ribisi (Scarlett Johansson’s husband in Lost in Translation) and Jason Lee (My Name Is Earl).

Now, she’s been signed on to star in a comedy with Ben Stiller!!!! Way to go Katie! Also in the movie are Robert Downey, Jr., Jack Black and Nick Nolte. Matthew McConaughey is also rumored to be making an appearance.

What it’s about doesn’t matter but OK! says Tropic Thunder is

funny flick about actors appearing in a low-budget war movie who are drafted into becoming real-life soldiers.
