Since her new single was first released yesterday, Britney Spears’ new single (which hasn’t even been officially released yet) “Gimme More” has hit number 78 on the Mediabase charts! Mediabase tracks songs and the air time they get. (think American Top 20 and how they get their top songs each week).

It’s musical parents… one comes home, and the other one leaves! Angelina Jolie took her kiddies, Maddox, Pax Thien, Zahara and even Shilo, to the zoo on Thursday. They look really cute and all, but how many nannies does this family have? I counted at least 2 with them at the zoo. Heck! I’d have more than that for one if I could

Meanwhile, Daddy Brad is in Venice with best buddy George as they promote their own movies. You KNOW those two are going to be getting into some sort of trouble… and loving every minute of it.

Goldie Hawn seems to be someone who likes to “give back” or at least help out other people. Here she is at the “Playing For Good” Philanthropic Summit in Mallacora, Spain. How fun does that sound? I’d love to be on a Mediterranean island right now… playing on the beach with my SPF80.

The participants also get to play a round of golf or attend poolside parties during the two day event. Woohoo.

Once in a while, readers send me interesting articles to look over and send on to everyone else.

One of my favorites today was how China is going to regulate how it’s citizens REINCARNATE!!! You HAVE to be kidding me.

According to a statement issued by the State Administration for Religious Affairs, the law, which goes into effect next month and strictly stipulates the procedures by which one is to reincarnate, is “an important move to institutionalize management of reincarnation.”

This is absurd. I thought it was your fate at to where and how you reincarnated according to Buddhist beliefs. Am I wrong here?

But like most things governments do when it come to religion, there is an underline motive. It seems that all this legislature is to take power away from the Dalai Lama.

By barring any Buddhist monk living outside China from seeking reincarnation, the law effectively gives Chinese authorities the power to choose the next Dalai Lama, whose soul, by tradition, is reborn as a new human to continue the work of relieving suffering.

Hmmmm, I don’t think it’s going to work. But then, I’m not a Buddhist in China.
