MSN had this kinda creepy kinda cute story on the other day…
Oscar the Cat lives in a Nursing Home in Rhode Island. Unlike most cute kitties, Oscar doesn’t like people and won’t be found on anybody’s lap. But when he does, the nurses call the family right away.
You see, Oscar the Cat has this uncanny knack in knowing when someone is about to die. He curls up next to them on their bed.
After about six months, the staff noticed Oscar would make his own rounds, just like the doctors and nurses. He’d sniff and observe patients, then sit beside people who would wind up dying in a few hours…
Don’t worry too much about the anxiety having this little angel of death on your bed might cause…
Doctors say most of the people who get a visit from the sweet-faced, gray-and-white cat are so ill they probably don’t know he’s there, so patients aren’t aware he’s a harbinger of death. Most families are grateful for the advanced warning, although one wanted Oscar out of the room while a family member died. When Oscar is put outside, he paces and meows his displeasure.
Having had a few loved ones pass on recently, I would actually like to have a cat like this around. Not only for the advanced warning, but even if you aren’t fond of cats like me, having one snuggle up to you when you’re not feeling well can be very comforting.
Oh! Oscar even received a plaque for his “compassionate hospice care.” How sweet.

Brit Brit has packed up SPF and JJ and is headed to VEGAS!!!! What else do you do when your magazine deal goes bad?
Britney Spears may have hoped for a quiet retreat when she took her two boys, 10-month-old Jayden James, and Sean Preston, 22 months, to the Wynn hotel in Las Vegas for a few days. But now, an insider tells Life & Style, that it sure hasn’t turned out that way!
An insider close to Brit’s estranged hubby Kevin Federline claims that Britney broke her custody agreement with their dad, Kevin, when she took the boys away from LA without written permission.
She did leave one thing behind, her new assistant of one month, Shannon Funk. She was that mystery blond that joined Britney in the impromptu ocean romp.
“Britney felt a lot of her recent troubles started and stopped with Shannon,” an insider close to Britney tells Life & Style. “Britney thought she was talking badly about her. She was very rude and Britney felt she was letting business emails fall by the wayside.”
Yeah, Shannon was problem… it’s all Shannon’s fault.

A VERRRRRRRRRRRRRRY pregnant Naomi Watts FINALLY had her baby this morning accoding to L&S.
the arrival was slightly ahead of schedule. “Naomi was planning on giving birth next week– her due date was early August — but since she insisted on delivering naturally, she knew there was a chance she would have the baby before the due date. That’s what wound up happening.”
The insider says mother, child and the baby’s father, Naomi’s longtime love Liev Schreiber, are resting comfortably at a hospital near Naomi’s Brentwood, Calif., estate.
EARLY?!?!?! My goodness that girl is tiny I know, but good grief she was just getting huge!!
The new parents were also keeping the baby’s sex a secret. That’s cool. Not too many people do that.

Is anyone watching Paula’s new show? With all of the press she gets for being ‘goofy’ I thought that it would be a huge hit. And she is awfully cute. This is a photo of Paula walking around LA yesterday with a coffee that’s the same size that she is. Is she talking to her friend who’s next to her on her cell?

A few weeks ago Liv Tyler stepped out in London causing some to wonder if she’s expecting.
Here she is in Manhattan wearing another ‘comfortable’ outfit. I’m sure that it’s just miserably hot on the island, and she does look adorable. I’m just saying…

I DVR’ed this the other night and enjoyed watching it. Every minute of it! Rob Schneider, who I usually find more annoying than funny, really impressed me with his wit and ‘tongue in cheek’ commentary. Miss it? Here you go!!!
NBC had the good clear version removed… whatever.
My favorite part was (s)he was talking about the best role Lindsay’s had so far.

It wouldn’t be a weekend if the Tabs didn’t have a story about Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt.
Both InTouch Weekly, and Life & Style are saying that B&A are fighting all the time. And in front of the kids.

Soon after Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie arrived in the South of France for what was meant to be a relaxing mid-July getaway, they got into a huge fight when Angie blamed Brad for the poor box-office performance of her movie A Mighty Heart, which he produced. “Brad rarely raises his voice,” says an insider, “but this time he told her enough’s enough.”
Sadly, this sort of battle has become a common occurrence. But this time something was different: Two of their kids, Maddox and Pax, had wandered into the room and were standing, stunned, as their parents screamed at each other. “Brad turned to the boys and quickly asked them to go into the other room,” the insider says.
I love the idea of Angelina getting all pissy at Brad over her movie bombing. It’s not like all her movies were good. Or profitable.
Just to stay in the game, US WEEKLY reports something different (of course!)
A rep for the couple tells Usmagazine.com “They are together on vacation and all is well.”

Lindsay Lohan was chasing….
Her personal assistant’s MOTHER!!!!
Apparently, the assistant had quit earlier that night.
Lohan was driving a white Denali and she had two female passengers in her car.
She was chasing a black Cadillac Escalade.
The latest reports are that black Caddy was being driven by the mother of Lindsay’s personal assistant.
Police are not yet revealing the woman’s name.
Lindsay was arrested only one block from the police station where the car she was chasing was driving to in fear.
Cop says that a 911 call was placed by the driver of the black Cadillac. That call is what lead to Lohan’s subsequent arrest and multiple charges.

It’s Girls Next Door Thrusday!!!!!
So, here’s the latest scoop on the ladies and Mr. Hefner.
The New York Daily News is reporting that Holly wants babies, but Hef isn’t ready. Haven’t we heard this before? Bridget was on the air promoting her Playboy Sirius Radio show “The Bridget and Wednesday Friday Show.” (I LOVE Bridget )
So here is what she had to say about the baby gossip.
Holly “does want to have Hef’s babies, but I think she wants to wait until we’re done shooting ["The Girls Next Door" reality show], and Kendra [Wilkinson ] and I aren’t there anymore. She wants to have a normal environment.”
Ouch… how is it to know you’re going to lose the meal ticket and life you’re used to!
As for whether or not Holly’s already knocked up?
“Oh, that’s not true!” Bridget told us over lunch. “Holly got wasted in Monte Carlo! We had a giant margarita glass in the middle of our table full of four bottles of booze, and we were all drinking.”
One thing that is for certain, Bridget is always down for a party. Remember, she’s the theme girl.
“I’m ready to throw the baby shower!” she laughed.
Who knows, maybe it would be a good thing for Holly to have a baby with the man she loves. And after seeing everyone on Larry King a few weeks ago, it’s obvious he really cares about all the girls, but Holly in particular. Who knows.
