Dita Von Teese is one of those women that the bees openly love. She always looks so well planned and put together.

If anyone else tried to pull off this look it would be ridiculous. But for some reason, a story book picture dress, large glasses, and lily pads on the shoes works rather well with the alabaster skin, red lips and dark hair. Almost as if she stepped out of a 1950’s Marie Claire.

That being said, here is the burlesque dancer without the giant martini glass doing some shopping in LA this week. Let’s hope she was wearing sunscreen!

It was announced via Reuters today that Mariane Pearl, the widow of Daniel Pearl who was executed by Al Qaeda in 2002, is SUING THEM! I kid you not. Reuters posted the following story this afternoon.

Mariane Pearl, whose story is told in the recently released movie “A Mighty Heart” starring Angelina Jolie, filed the suit at U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of New York, according to her lawyers.

“Plaintiffs seek to hold responsible those terrorists, terrorist organizations and the supporting charitable and banking organizations for the senseless kidnapping, torture and murder of Daniel Pearl,” the suit said.

It seeks an unspecified amount of money, whatever the court “deems appropriate,” to prevent the defendants from committing similar acts.

I must say, well played, well played. Not only is Ms. Pearl suing Al Qaeda, she is also suing those who monetarily support them. This would include the largest bank in Pakistan.

Habib Bank Limited is one of Pakistan’s biggest banks. The lawsuit alleges the bank and its subsidiaries knowingly conducted financial transactions on behalf of charities linked to extremist groups.

“In doing so Habib and its subsidiaries aided, abetted and provided material support in the form of financial services for the terrorist support organizations,” the suit said.

Can you imagine what would happen if she WON?!?! And the bank and/or its subsidiaries had to pay her money? Now this woman is ballsy. She must not think she would be in any more danger than she has been already so why not hit them where it hurts, the wallet!

OK! Magazine is CERTAINLY getting their money’s worth when it comes to Tony and Eva’s 7.7.07 wedding in Paris. This week they are posting photos from the RECEPTION. In case you didn’t know, OK! magazine bought the rights to their wedding for $2 MILLION dollars!!

I secretly loved how they put Jessica Simpson’s photo on the cover of the reception for the wedding. She and Eva are supposedly good friends, Eva was even in Jessica’s video for “Public Affair”. But Jessica didn’t go to the wedding because her cousin was getting married the same day in Texas.

It wasn’t too warm yesterday where I am in Southern California. But I guess the temperature was hotter where Ali Larter was in her short shorts. I must say, she looks great in this out fit. Not too many people can pull off the look of short shorts paired with a long sleeved top. But she looks great.

I love Debra messing when she isn’t being too fussy.

But at yesterday’s opening on Phillip Lim’s new boutique, she seemed to be 1) trying really hard to look glamorous, or 2) just went with what she liked. I really hope it’s option 2. And really, do we have to return to the turban look? All I can think of is the movie “Soapdish” and how ridiculous two of them looked running around with “stylish” turbans on their heads.
